The Feds are apparently recommending that the Islamic Saudi Academy be closed down. They’re obviously being treated like they are guilty until they prove themselves innocent. Ridiculous? Pathetic? Down right hilarious? Am I surprised? Not in the least.
“A private Islamic school supported by the Saudi government should be shut down until the U.S. government can ensure the school is not fostering radical Islam, a federal panel recommends.

The commission does not offer specific criticism of the academy’s teachings beyond its concerns that it too closely mimics a typical Saudi education

“There is nothing in our curriculum against any religion,” Al-Shabnan said.
He also said he is willing to show the school’s curriculum and textbooks to anybody who wants to see them, and he expressed disappointment that the commission did not request materials directly from the school.
“We have an open policy,” he said.
He also pointed out that many of the school’s teachers are Christian and Jewish.”

The only way to solve this is for the Saudi’s to stop preaching there extremist views.

People are just uptight because the ISA keeps churning out highly intelligent intellectual individuals into the society. Now that wouldn’t be such a problem…in fact it be a benefit…but the thing is that these highly intelligent intellectuals ARE MUSLIMS. And the enemies of Islam know very well how dangerous and intelligent muslim is, let alone a whole generation.
You notice the critics never even offered a shred of evidence to support their claims. Just hearsay. Give me a break. And then they go and mention Ahmed Abu Ali. Don’t get me started on that whole travesty of justice. While I don’t believe he’s guilty of anything he’s been accused of, I say it’s pretty low of them to go and mention him. What about all the other THOUSANDS of graduates, who WERE NOT accused of terrorism? Nobody mentions that.
Bunch of losers those enemies of Islam I’m telling you.

This is stupid! I know several people who have graduated from ISA. I have also had interaction with the student body via local youth work and extreme is the last word I would use to discribe these kids. They are normal kids. If anything, they need more faith! People just don’t like the idea of these affluent arabs having a private school! It just comes down to plain ole xenophobia.

What’s interesting is that yu’ll have alot of muslims themselves who may make the argument that we need to integrate and that these muslim schools are a hinderence towards that yada yada. so I ask you: Do you feel the same way about christian, catholic, and jewish schools? I can almost bet you don’t.
Because enforcing that everybody just integrate and become all one, .. that just wreaks of ‘Brave New World’ to me
